I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this cable and I'm glad I did. Firstly, these cable providers offer both backwards compatibility with all USB/Thunderbolt standards and the possibility of future use for at least 5 years. High-quality cable assembly; it is flexible and attractive if you take care of it. The only (tiny) feedback would be that it would be nice if at least one side of the cable connectors was blank, i.e. the company logo removed from the connector; I prefer clean…

Unstable (physical?) connection to eGPU on macOS Big Sur

I have many Thunderbolt cables (Startech, Choetech, Caldigit, and CableMatters) and previously chose CableMatters' proprietary TB3 cable to connect my eGPU with to connect to my Mac. It was best to accidentally hit it without turning off the eGPU. Decided to try this new one, but in the first few minutes after plugging it in, macOS reported two unsafe disconnects in a row, just plugged in with no change. I just slammed the table and it started again. Unfortunately, I cannot rely on this cable…
