i have a 70 year old cast iron wall mounted sink. does not hang directly on the new bracket due to structural changes until I lined it up with the trap using this jack. It was the perfect solution for attaching the stern shaft "post". great inexpensive product!

Installed a wood stove. The underlying ceiling beams were suspended with Teco hangers. Yes, yes, I know that they are really strong. But I was paranoid that a 400-pound, red-hot, infernal weight was suspended from some sort of rolled sheet of metal. So I used a 4x4 to straighten the joists and secure them with these jack stands. Did I achieve something? Damn, I don't know. But I sleep better at night. For that I give these posts 5 stars. If you buy them you might sleep better.

Easy to install is relative :) Place a couple of these under my kitchen center before remodeling as insurance as the original metal frames supporting my floor have rusted. Attached them to solid concrete blocks, then bolted them to the joists, then bolted them to the blocks. Make sure to align the blocks and columns. You feel strong enough.
