Great for storing huge amounts fast access

It's great if you need flash in addition or instead of RAM because it can help with large volumes of data being read off disk which then helps improve I/O response time. This is also very important when doing video transcoding workflows but this really depends how much extra flash space would be required from using an SSD as opposed to having plenty more memory. If you think that there will probably not always be enough RAM available while working away at something such tasks might require some

Pros
  • High Capacity
  • Reliable.
  • Great Support staff for assistance etc
Cons
  • Quite Expensive compared other products out their!
  • Not well known

Tintri - All flash storage made even easier

Tintri is all about simplicity. It integrates well with other products in our ecosystem, such as OpenStack, VMWare, and Microsoft Hyper-V. The solution was designed from the ground up to be an all-flash array that could seamlessly integrate into our existing environments. We like the ease of use and how well it works with our other platforms. There aren't many drawbacks - it is simple, reliable, and easy to deploy. I am able to easily provision capacity when needed without having to worry…

Great value against other SAN storage providers

The speed boost when using SSD compared with HDD! We run an array of over 1 million VMs running vSphere/NSX at work that is currently experiencing heavy traffic as our business grows rapidly in new markets across Asia & Australia region where we host offices from Perth through Sydney down under including Melbourne. This allows us incredible levels agility especially during peak hours which has greatly improved customer service by delivering instant response times while significantly reducing…

Pros
  • good performance even if large amount data stored;+ Easy integration into other platforms like VMware ESXI , Microsoft HyperV.+ Support REST API protocol + Cloud computing ready
Cons
  • Some little things
