Furrion / Mercedes: Doesn't work

I was hoping that Furrion's backup camera system would work with my 2016 Mercedes GLE 350 and camper with LED lights, but it didn't. It also doesn't work with a similar Yuesem rear camera. Furrion makes their own adapter, but as of January 6th, 2020 it's still not available.

Not only for foreign cars!

I have a 2018 Ford F150 and when I used the taillight LED panel under the tailgate it kept saying I had a trailer connected or disconnected and this was very annoying. Using this adapter I can have taillights and alarms. Works with LED lighting on a new horse trailer.

If you have a Mercedes.

New 2016 Mercedes GLE350 4MATIC with factory installed towing package. 1. Plug the fuses into the coupler shown in the fuse chart (under the passenger seat fuse box) and then 2. use these and you can easily connect the Prodigy RF Brake Controller. without this element will not work. Mercedes USA is absolutely useless in this regard. Don't ask their technicians, they have no incentive to help you.

Bypasses the bulb burn test function on Euro vehicles

If you want to replace your trailer bulbs with LEDs and your Euro tractor is equipped with an automatic bulb burn test and dashboard warning system. This is a 7 pin adapter that needs to be installed between your vehicle and trailer connector to bypass the 'lamp off' feature. The LED lights are not drawing enough current and the 'bulb out' function reports that the LED lights on the trailer are burned out without an adapter plug on the dashboard.

Fixed a problem in my 2019 Ford Ranger

Although it wasn't mentioned in the product description but the problem caused by my 2019 Ford Ranger left rear turn signal and stop not working, has been fixed - beep sound as soon as the brakes are applied. Unfortunately, I spent $300 searching the trailer for an answer - new headlights, additional diode, wiring and grounding check. This fun little thing does the trick. Told the guys at the camper store so they could save themselves and other Ford truck owners a lot of trouble and heartache…

Works as advertised

I bought this for a VW Touareg v10 to get around an issue with LED trailer lights. It works as advertised, no complaints about it when fitted well. I recommend that you connect the trailer cable first and then connect everything to the vehicle right away so that the automatic trailer detection works properly. The only thing I would wish for more is that it was more compact. The trailer exit is at an angle of approximately 45 degrees to the horizontal. The length of this then brings the outlet a

Doesn't solve trailer detection problem.

I bought this hoping it could fix my 2011 Land Rover LR4 which is having trouble detecting trailers with LED lights. It did not work. It has a 100 ohm resistor soldered to the tail light and turn signal pins. I was able to get the car to recognize the trailer by replacing these resistors with some 10W compact resistors with a heatsink built in. However, in this setup there is not enough current to light up the trailer LEDs. I am now dead in the water and cannot return this adapter. The current…

Used it to pair my Tekonsha 90250 RF brake controller

I had a 2013 VW Tiguan with a Tekonsha P3 controller which worked very well but presented a major problem connecting to this tractor. When I traded the tractor for a 2016 Tiguan, I bought a Tekonsha 90250 RF unit. Surprisingly, the same trailer (with LED headlights) that worked fine with my 2013 Tiguan did not work when plugged into a factory 7-way connector on a 2016 Tiguan. I thought the Tow Ready 20142-7 adapter might fix that, but it doesn't. I needed a VW tow bar electrical installation…

Great product - fixed lighting issue

I have a 2014 Audi Q7 with a factory installed tow kit (trailer hitch, control module, etc.). When I plugged my 1992 bumper trailer (half incandescent, half LED headlight) into a 7 pin Audi spade connector, there was no light. I tested the trailer on my Ford truck using the same plug (no adapters needed) and all the bulbs on the trailer worked. I knew my Audi was to blame. I did a little research and found a few possible issues causing the issue. Decided to "test" the most rational issue, Audi…
