Good product! Power Accessories

This is a great product. I installed it as the nerve center for all my music and sound engineering in our church music rehearsal room. I love how it meets all my air conditioning/surge protection needs. Would buy again!

Pros
  • Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), Power Conditioning and Surge Protection
Cons
  • No

Produces a distinct hum in the room.

Not the best choice for a recording studio as it makes a fairly audible hum when switched on. As for the surge protector, I'm sure it does a pretty good job of maintaining a constant 120 volts for the devices plugged into it.

Pros
  • $25,000 Ultimate Life Insurance; 2 year guarantee
Cons
  • boring packaging

Sturdy construction but annoying hum

I have had a lot of experience with Tripp Lite products in the past, love their isobar surge protectors and their range of power products in general is always good good. It seemed like a win-win situation. The device is solid, well made, with a pleasant number of sockets at a reasonable price, but hums very loudly. I use it in a home studio rack and I can hear it clearly from across the room. If you're not worried about noise it might suit you, but in my opinion it's not ideal for AV or studio…

Pros
  • Heavy duty 1440J surge protector
Cons

A little extra insurance

Such a cabinet is installed in each of my 3 server racks at work. I install this power conditioner in front of the UPS and the IP addressable PDU so everything is protected. I can say that the one in my office has been standing here for at least 5 years and goes crazy every time the wind blows or the storm blows. makes me think it's doing its job. There may be a version that does this, but a built in NIC for email alerts would be nice, but I still get those alerts from the UPS units, so it's…

Pros
  • Rack mount cabinet Fits standard 19 inch rack cases
Cons
  • Neutral

Things are going well for the most part.

We installed this in our rack to power all of our equipment in the church sound booth. In this way we can turn on most devices at the same time. The audio power amplifier is switched on separately. There were just enough outlets. With the rest of the characteristics, everything was fine. The only disappointment was that it didn't dampen our enthusiasm in any way. Other reviews I've read said the same thing, so this isn't a deal breaker. Device protection was one of the main selling points and I

Pros
  • Supports a regulated 120V nominal over an 89-147V input voltage range
Cons
  • ill thought out

Not perfect, low hum, but solid unit with good support

Update: Based on Tripp-Lite's comment on my original review, I contacted support and they replaced my LCR-2400 . The new device, while not perfect, is much quieter. I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars due to Tripp-Lite's improved performance and excellent customer support. ************ Original Review Below ************ * I bought this air conditioner for use on a home theater stand but the hum is too loud to handle to be used anywhere near the listening range. If you can place this device out…

Pros
  • Improved automatic voltage regulation corrects sags and surges
Cons

Quality unit with "hum "

Brick built. I find it offers decent and reliable protection at a good price for my sensitive 20A powered electronic devices. If you're reading these reviews and considering applications related to music recording and high-quality home theater, you've probably already read about "hum". TL claims it doesn't exist and is willing to trade in or fix any humming device for another if you have one. No, I will not send this back to TL. I understand it works as intended and designed. But there is a…

Excellent product - shipping method to be checked

5 stars BUT. The way it was posted needs serious improvement. This is a very heavy item. It came in its original production packaging. Very weak protection and arrived damaged (looks like it was dropped). The tab for attachment to the luggage rack is curved. The device works very well. I ended up bending the side back (with difficulty) and was able to install it. I haven't had time to return an item if it didn't work after installation. Revain repackages everything, except in this case very…
