Only survived 2.5 dives

Excellent performance, well balanced. Sunk on third dive. Yes I took all precautions, shot UW videos for about 9 years, had many UW lights. The flooding started on the 3rd dive at the 68th minute of the dive. When I got out of the water, the battery exploded and all the circuitry was damaged.

Pros
  • Beautiful view
Cons
  • Long time

Buy spare batteries if you make multiple dives.

Six dives and so far the only complaint is the battery life. I bought replacement batteries because they never deliver as they say. I would say they survived two 45 minute dives at altitude. During my surface interval I replaced the spares and they lasted the remaining two dives that day.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Don't know

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Leak within 2 dives.

Second dive with backlight, water has entered the case. Everything was in place, I just did a deeper dive, no problems, no change. Unfortunately, he couldn't even endure a day of diving for that money. My $30 Revain flashlights work great, but I was looking for a wider angle of illumination. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Trust the fiery photo video light.

One dive and the windshield leaks. The battery compartment is dry, the battery is OK. It didn't work out for me, but 4 photos and the front lens started to smoke. No guarantee for this light. I think I should read all the reviews before buying this lamp. $85 fizzles out in 10 minutes. And can't go back. I hope Trustfire reads this and becomes the instructor I would not recommend to any of my clients. Let's see if they will stand behind this product.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Weak set

Happy but not happy!

This is my second DF30 and I couldn't believe my eyes when I noticed that my second lamp also didn't have a very small screw like when I bought the first one. The reason for my low rating is due to the difficulty and sheer hassle of finding a hex key small enough to install this tiny thing yourself. Aside from that very annoying kickback, this is an excellent light. The battery is a beast and the lighting options are phenomenal, especially when using this light as part of a camera setup.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Almost never

Good light best in underwater photography

Good reliable flashlight, bright with good battery life. and additional batteries of this size - heavy for its size - UV output also puts out a lot of visible light Pros - solidly built - bay mode is very bright (not as bright as a flash, of course, but a bright flashlight) - standard o-rings , not some proprietary form of sealing. - Convenient one-button control - dimming, after turning on bay mode, press and hold the button to dim, release to stop.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Cons of this flashlight: You need a charger to hold it. and additional batteries of this size - heavy for its size - UV output also puts out a lot of visible light Pros - solid build - shaft mode is very bright (certainly not as bright as a strobe, but a bright flashlight) - standard o-rings, not what - a proprietary form of the seal - convenient one-button control - dimming, after turning on the bay mode, holding the button starts…

It flooded on the first dive.

Before the first dive I carefully checked the o-rings and mating surfaces and made sure they were lubricated. I had a dive to about 80 feet. After about 5 minutes of use in the light I was impressed with the evenness of the fill. Shortly after that the red LED came on and then I noticed that the lens was fogged up. It received and stopped completely after a few minutes. Back on the ground, the battery hissed and gases escaped from the button. I suspect water entered through a button or lens…

Pros
  • Quality construction

Almost lost the light while diving!

UPDATE! My video light just burned out. She is sober and has never been abused. I emailed Trustfires support regarding a warranty repair and thought I'd share their questions with you. -- CUT -- Thank you for supporting TrusrFire. Having noted your case, could you answer the following questions: 1. Which Revain station did you purchase the DF30 from?2. Can you give me your order number from the screenshot? 3. Can you make a short video for me to check the not working issue? 4. Did you drop or…

Bright, even white light and pleasant design

Bright even white light with great colors, good battery life lasted for a full hour of immersion at high speed (flooded video setting) but now I switch between headlight settings (nice and bright) and video settings to save power. I made it through 2 dives (2 hours). I had to buy a new charger because the batteries are big and won't fit in my 18650 charger. I use 2 of these lights for my GoPro on a tray. The two lights eliminate all shadows and make for a fairly bright light, but in my video…
