This product allows me to use my PC connected Turtle Beach X12 on my first generation PS4 without having to go out and buy new PS4 headphones or headphones . This works, but if you have a Slim PS4 you will need either a USB extension cable or a longer optical audio cable as there is no optical audio. I can now use my x12s Turtle Beach on PS4pro. Setup was simple and easy. I chose this setting because I like having separate game and chat volume controls. Note: USB alone will not make your headset work even though the packaging says USB Pass Through. You need to connect the TOSLINK part.
