It's hard to find a replacement for FEDERAL

Called the company and they told me that although they look a little different they are made for older federal breakers and will fit! Ideal.

Pros
  • . Very good value for money
Cons
  • Great price

I have replaced all the switches. When I tried to put the lid on it didn't close, I had to cut the metal. unnecessary work. They were thicker than the original! If you just change 1 or 2 then they will fit. I swapped the complete panel over the dz.breakers on the 1st floor panel

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • Some bugs

Poor quality product - avoid at all costs

If you agree that a circuit breaker should last more than 3 months then don't buy this product. Everything was fine until after 3 months I found that the circuit breaker inside had blown. Not good quality. and won't last long. Made cheap. The cost should only be a few dollars to justify the quality

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I do not recommend. not a good fake.

So it was extremely difficult to "stick” the breaker into the groove. Once in the back, the rocker slot wasn't a perfect fit. The switch will attempt to slide out of the slot. I had to put 2 layers of tape on the gap to make it fit snugly. The second time it was again very difficult to insert the tip into the slot. Buy the real deal from Home Depot.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

70's 20 amp 110 in electrician

Not found on the local market. My garage is old and hooked up to a switch. My saw was always throwing out 15 amps. The easiest solution? Set it to 20, right? First, the 20 amp 110 is hard to come by. The installation clip is from the 1970s at my house so cannot be found locally. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace. Neither of them had it. Found this and solved my problem. The jigsaw works great. With everything else no problem. I checked the wires with a thermal gun during and after using the saw. No…

ELECTRICAL SAFETY IS SMART

PRIOR TO MY AMAZON PRIME I had to drive around several hardware stores looking for the RIGHT FUSE NEEDED FOR MY LARGE OLD home in South Texas Sweet Home. it was easy to find, compare to the old, order, deliver and install with MAXIMUM EASY. PERFECT FIVE STARS in my opinion! THE BEST IS MY ELECTRICAL SAFETY AND HEALTH without the hassle or expensive facilities like AMAZON PRIME used to have. Thank God!

Cons
  • The list will be long.

I checked BOTH prices at Home Depot and Loew's and THIS replacement was WAY worth the hassle! Perfect replacement with no problems! IF YOU 'DIY'. JUST MAKE SURE the switch is "plugged in” firmly! There are many photos on the internet of homes that have burned down due to a Federal Pacific "loose" or faulty switch. I would replace the entire panel but today's cost of electrics and panel, wiring etc. DON'T TALK! for your information. replacement cost was $2000-$4000 BECAUSE they didn't want to…

Connection to FPE panel failed

I had to replace several FPE switches. Replacement Connecticut Electric breakers look like they should work - the case is the right size, the electrical pins are generally set up correctly, etc. But the Stab-Lok pins on a replacement Connecticut Electric breaker are slightly wider than the original FPE configuration. . This was supposed to potentially provide a better electrical connection than the original problematic FPE switches and panels, but the result was that I literally couldn't fit…

Pros
  • Switches, load centers and fuses
Cons
  • Cables shorter than other picks

Seems to work - Magnetic circuit breaker

I ordered 1 circuit breaker to test, timing seems right. It's an old fashioned circuit breaker, no electronics. My test results: current/trip time 55A - 14 seconds 41A - 27 seconds 36A - 46 seconds 30A - 119 seconds 25A - 1076 seconds seems reasonable for a 20A circuit breaker at 20A with a trip time tolerance On the plot of operating time versus current being an infinite number of seconds, the circuit breaker current rating is where the vertical asymptote on the x-axis falls. Based on this…
