Identical to GE, good for wall controls

These Honeywell switches are made by Jasco who also makes Z-Wave products for GE. It is identical to the GE Switch and works like a GE Switch with my Wink Hub2. I bought several of these and one didn't connect to the hub right away. After using my hub to send an "exclude" command to it, I was able to pair it correctly.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Protection

It worked on the first try.

I replaced an old 2 wire single pole switch with this one. Please note: This switch requires a neutral (*usually white) wire! My old breaker just got switched across the black line/load lines so I had to consult an electrician and was told I needed to make a connection to the closed neutral in the junction box. The switch comes with a short white pigtail that is said to have been designed specifically for this purpose. Once I got everything connected, pairing with the SmartThings Hub was a…

Looks identical to GE 14291. But it isn't.

This Honeywell switch is identical to the GE 14291 switch that I recently installed and connected to a Samsung Smartthings hub. Both switches are from JASCO. Their manuals have the same text and diagrams. Here the similarities end: Pros: 1) the Honeywell manual is printed in a much larger and easier to read booklet than the GE manual; 2) The Honeywell switch was easily recognized by my Smartthings hub, while the GE 14291 required a reboot before it was recognized. Cons: I can't change the…

good alternative to Zwave-Jasco switch

I bought 2 of these, 1 to replace a Zwave-Jasco switch which has failed about 20 times in one evening due to power fluctuations from the utility company. I followed the precautions, it was easy to replace. Connecting zwave to Vera was also easy. 2. Honeywell switch, I had to find a neutral wire, check with a voltmeter. The physical setup was fine. Pairing with Vera failed. So I went through the paper documentation and attempted a factory reset. after factory reset, the blue indicator was off…

Undocumented "Air Gap " Switch

Not only was this switch $15 cheaper than the equivalent Leviton Z-Wave switch, it's also easier to install electrically, even though heatsinks draw excessive current. Space, which makes it difficult to place a double faceplate in combination with a traditional switch. However, it simply stopped working after 31 days, one day after Revain's return policy. It didn't respond to the switch press, it showed offline in Smartthings and the LED went off. So I don't think I saved that much. I think…

Easy to install, fast pairing. Highly recommended.

I don't know why the photo is upside down, I think it's Revain. I installed five of these in my apartment after the landlord suddenly decided to replace the lights with LEDs. I have previously used GE Link lamps in fixtures. Luckily, my apartment was wired to neutral in the back boxes, so installation was easy. The box contains beige rockers (white ones are installed from the factory), a short white cable, fastening screws and a user manual. To install the switch you will need a regular (flat)…

ADT Pulse app is compatible!

Integrates easily with the ADT Pulse app after a simple install and I should have bought it a while ago as I didn't know it would be that easy to install. Made the mistake of going to the local hardware store for an additional Romex cable, not knowing that the product already comes with a 6" white jumper cable that runs from the neutral port to the neutral jack on the Z-Wave Smart switch must be connected. Safety first and common sense, so turn off the main switch and connect a total of 4 bare…

Nearly perfect. for accessory

What I like about them is that they work. I just invested in an entire home security system using DMP products with Z-Wave. I've never used Z-Wave so I was hoping it would be easy. I use TP-Link a lot and I think it's pretty easy, if a bit tedious. Adding it to Z-Wave was the easiest part of the whole ordeal. The hardest part? Lid on it! The metal edge is so thick that it cannot be completely covered by the wall paneling. In fact, the plastic inner case on the back ONLY fits in the back box…

Pros
  • SimpleWire - Auto-sensing line/load terminals allow for quick installation by identifying line and load wires and configuring the switch accordingly. Two grounding terminals, staggered to eliminate screws securing the junction box, support daisy chaining in multi-switch configurations.
Cons
  • Not the best

It works the way it should, almost

I bought this switch in addition to the GE Zwave switch as I wanted to see which one is better only to find that they both look the same and without the GE logo on the other side they are hard to tell apart! Then I found out that both are made by JASCO! In terms of quality, this switch does not differ from the GE test switch. Some of them will be exact copies of my other review. Packaging It came in a box with an instruction manual, an extra spatula and a white sweater. The manual contains many

So far, so good ! for ceiling fans and accessories

I have 4 of these switches at home, plus 10+ Honeywell and GE Z-Wave Plus Petal Dimmers and 3 Z-Wave Motion Dimmers (all 3 GE). They were extremely easy to pair with my smart hub and have worked flawlessly for about 10 days so far. Paddle dimmers do NOT initially have a double tap for full brightness drivers. Luckily my smart hub community is full of very talented people who have developed a driver that allows double tapping for full brightness so I added this driver to my smart hub and it…
