Directly suitable for mbrp.

Fits right onto my 4" mbrp exhaust. Can't complain too much about the product. It does what it says and helped me get around the hippie dippy muffler laws.

Works great in mbrp sets

I don't do many reviews. This item is so good for the money that I feel I have to give it credit. I have a 2001 built Lb7 Duramax. I had it hooked up directly to a 4" mbrp turbocharged rear exhaust kit. It was too loud and made an awful buzz. This muffler hooked up to my mbrp kit like it was made for it. I just removed the exhaust pipe and it was exactly the length of the flue pipe and fits perfectly in the system literally took me about 20 minutes to put this together sounds great no hum just…

  • Lots of positive emotions

  • Some bugs

Well done, good sound

Bought a Duramax LBZ truck with direct exhaust and it was too loud for me, especially since I have to tow. This muffler eliminated most of the noise from changing turbocharger vanes etc that caused the rumble, but it delivers a much nicer, deep, rumbling sound. Daily driving and 2 trips of 200 miles and I'm happy with the noise level. It's louder than new normal diesel, but doesn't bother you when you're working in the workshop. The fit and finish was very good and I don't care if it looks like

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • easy to repair

The volume is halved for spare parts

I don't do many reviews, but since it is related to the sound of your truck, I absolutely have to. The damper seems to be well made. Exhaust clamps must be ordered separately. Installation took about 20 minutes, I have a 2014 Cummins and I placed the muffler just in front of the rear flight deck door. As for the sound, it sounds deep and hoarse. The volume is about half that of a 4" turbo in the rear with a 6" tailpipe. During a test drive, I noticed that there was no grinding noise when…

Perfect volume with deep grunts and no hum!

Used on an 01 24v VP44 Cummins, replaced the aluminized 5" diamond muffler lug with a stainless 4" MBRP system that was missing the muffler. Towing 10-15km on a regular straight pipe is too much. The 4" didn't hum because of the stainless steel, but overall it's too loud. I've used MBRPs and diamond grommet mufflers on customer trucks in the past that are similar to mine and they sound good, but this budget muffler reigns supreme now on my list. It's not loud, but it's not quiet either, it has…

Quiet, good build quality, good value

I bought this muffler to replace an MBRP aluminum muffler that was starting to fall apart at the seams. This stainless steel UPower muffler is quite good for 4" MBRP exhaust. The intake/exhaust pipes do not fit the flanges of this muffler at the same depth as the MBRP muffler - they are about 3/4" on either side " fewer. It didn't bother my setup because I could balance it with hangers. It attaches directly to existing MBRP exhaust clamps. This muffler is basically a stainless steel double…

Cons
  • Almost never

Quiet at a good price

I bought this for my 2001 F-350 with a 7.3 diesel. I already had a 4" turbo rear exhaust on a straight pipe truck. I tow new RV's with it so about 50% of the time I'm driving cross country it has a trailer attached to it driving the drone at 65mph (where I normally drive when towing, that's about 1900rpm ) drove me crazy. This muffler significantly reduces exhaust hum when towing. I'm giving it 4 stars because the hum is still clearly noticeable but has been reduced to a very acceptable level…

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

No more drone in the cockpit, modified 6.7 Cummins.

Let me start by saying that the performance of this resonator couldn't be better. I have a full remote Cummins 6.7 with a big turbo, big exhaust manifold, big intake manifold and a 4 inch stainless steel all straight exhaust pipe. Yes, it sounded amazing after all the updates I've made to make it run better without any nasty outliers. Eventually I got tired of long drives to hear the cockpit hum that I would have to stop for a call or call back later, the hum is awful at around 2000 rpm or…

5.9 24V Cummins without muffler about the same size

Quiet, too loud. I usually learn a lot by reading FAQs and product reviews. This one isn't very good. I debated buying it until I checked and saw that the truck had a straight pipe where the muffler could go and figured it was more of an improvement than nothing. Anyway, for my truck I was wrong. Purposeful debate about it is strange. I read the answers to the questions and saw someone mention that the core includes something like a cheese sorter and you mount it so that the exhaust goes into…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
