🔇 Walker Exhaust Quiet-Flow 21539 Performance Exhaust Muffler Review

Not quite sure about the durability of this muffler. I'm worried at the moment. it is smaller/shorter than the OEM muffler and not as heavy. it's too early to talk about it.

Very quiet, everything matches Revain recommended whistles. Not the easiest setup for a beginner. Have a cutting wheel or saw with a metal cutting blade at least 6 inches handy. Driven a 2004 F-150 Crew Cab to be sold.

First cut the old exhaust pipe from the muffler, then cut the muffler from the intermediate pipe. Install new muffler and exhaust pipe, 2 clamps, 20 minutes done. Beautiful and fits perfectly. 2005 F150 Double Cab 4x4.

Installed on a 2004 F150. Significantly quieter than the factory muffler that replaced it. This muffler is a few inches shorter than the Dactory muffler. So if you're cutting out an old muffler, buy a short connector so it can be plugged into the rest of the factory exhaust system.

Will not quite fit a 2005 Ford F150 FX4 with 144" wheelbase but will be close. On the engine side you will need an adapter pipe as the standard pipe is slightly smaller and will leave a leak. The exhaust pipe can be reused, if you have a small 2.5" extension, but I would recommend replacing it as well.

The stainless steel OEM replacement muffler is second to none. 1/3 the price the local body shop and muffler shop quoted for this part alone. Contrary to what the Walker website says, we did NOT have to purchase an intake pipe adapter, this muffler simply slipped over the factory pipe after the old muffler was cut off. The stock F150 exhaust was also reusable (made of inferior stainless steel) with just a small adaptor.

Muffler is a perfect match for my 163" XLT 2004 WB with seven bolt holes F150. The rear hanger needs to be flipped back and then forward to connect the 2-in-1 pressure pipe .High temp antiseptic was used on each spline and clamps as the old system had to be disconnected.I bought a Walker exhaust which also fits perfectly.As with the muffler I used ANtiseez high temp grease for the keyed connection to the muffler. Good muffler that does what it says - it's quiet compared to most mufflers and way better than my blown model! The shop had to make some minor modifications to fit my 04 F150, which an "expert" from the muffler shop told me had the original muffler, but I doubt that as my truck has over 200,000 miles on it and I only bought it a month ago so I don't know what has been done to it in the past.
