Description of πŸ”’ West System 655 2QT Adhesive Quart: Durable and Powerful Bonding Solution

EXCELLENT ADHESION adhesion to hard-to bond woods. This toughened, versatile, thickened epoxy is for permanent waterproof bonding of fiberglass, ceramics, metals, plastics, damp and difficult-to-bond woods. A bit more flexible than standard epoxies and polyester, but much stiffer than adhesive sealants. Makes structural bonds that can absorb the stress of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration. IDEAL FOR BONDING dissimilar materials. Mixed at a 1:1 ratio, this 2-part epoxy gives you 46 minutes of pot life at 72Β°F and an open (working) time of 60-75 minutes. It reaches an initial cure in 3 to 4 hrs, workable cure in 7-10 hours, and full cure in 24 hours. OFFERS GREATER FLEXIBILITY than traditional epoxies or polyester resins. Yet it is much stiffer than adhesive sealants. With a modulus of elasticity of 150,000 PSI, this epoxy bonds tenaciously to a metals, plastics, glass, masonry, and fiberglass. BONDS MANY MATERIALS including dissimilar ones. G/flex has a superior grip so that it can be used to bond to metals, plastics, glass, masonry, and fiberglass. G/flex is ideal for repairs to aluminum boats and polyethylene and ABS canoes and kayaks. It can also be used to wet out and bond fiberglass tapes and fabrics. MAKES STRUCTURAL BONDS that can absorb the stress of expansion, contraction, shock, and vibration. G/flex can be used on damp or wet surfaces, and even underwater when applied with specific techniques. Perfect for repairs to plastic boats, canoes or kayaks made of polyethylene or ABS.

Very Strong Boat PVC/Plastic Epoxy

I used this epoxy to assemble a pontoon boat deck after having to cut it apart to remove excess floating foam. Epoxy is amazingly strong and adheres very well if directions are followed. I didn't try to sand or finish the seams which came out a little dirty as the epoxy doesn't smooth out very easily. but it's not big. Importantly, it holds up very well, seems to flex well at the seams, and is easy to work with. 10/10 will be used again.

Epoxy Tile Adhesive

I use this product mixed with sanding dust and paint to fill gaps in my very old pine plank floor in my old house. I need to seal the edges of the gaps with tape first. I use a popsicle stick to apply the mixture into the gap and then leave the tape on it for a couple of hours. The frog tape must then be removed, otherwise it will stick to the floor when the epoxy gets underneath. The epoxy is easy to work with and once mixed has ample time (about half an hour) to fully apply each batch. The…

Expensive - but works great.

I wish this stuff didn't cost so much but it certainly did what it said it would. I tore a huge crack in the black tank of my sister's van and didn't think it could be fixed. The crack was approximately 2 feet long and zigzagged along the entire end of the tank. She ordered a new tank but after 13 weeks of waiting with no end in sight I decided to give G/Flex 655 and fiberglass strips installed a try. The tank is ABS and the G/Flex manual says it will work with that. First, I pushed the…
