Saves the Tanks - Boating

My husband is resurrecting old Airstream travel trailers. This product has been used to repair cracks and holes in black and gray water tanks that are no longer available for replacement. Easy to use and has so far proven to be very durable.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No instructions

Very useful stuff. Should not be missing in any tool box.

This is fantastic. I had a hole in my kayak and it was easy to fix. It is very durable and no longer leaks in my boat. I've also used it for a few other things. One of them is my motorcycle. The back was broken by the previous owner. I used this kit to put the pieces together and it's really solid. There was a small gap and I filled it with epoxy. He came back together as he should be.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great product but quite expensive

This product is really great and easy to use. We bought the mesh kit because it helps us measure the right amount of mix. I've used it for both quick fixes and medium sized projects. It works well and repairs are made in salty air and humid environments. My strong ring is the price. This is a quality product like many others of its kind. It's just in a smaller package that's easier to work with for smaller projects. It's a bit expensive.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Some difficulties

This is the cure for thermoplastic case damage!

I needed urgent repairs on my Hobie Mirage kayak because it had a stress crack at the Mirage drive point. I've tried 3M Scotch Lock, Marine Tex, and a few other two-part epoxies. No luck due to constant flexing of the polyethylene kayak and adhesion issues. I've read about G-Flex online and had good results with thermoplastic adhesion. This epoxy is thick and very easy to work with. I sealed the crack inside the case with tape. I've kayaked about 5 times and the epoxy works flawlessly.

It's better than any polymer welding kit.

Plugged a quarter hole in my Wilderness Systems Tarpon 140 kayak with this fiberglass and stainless steel mesh. Wire Mesh x 5 pcs - Bind Water Java Moss Pellia Riccia Fern Decorate an Empty Aquarium Living Fish Tank Aquatic Aquarium Plant I have created something stronger than the Yak ever was or will be. My keel and stern are solid and I'm afraid to no longer venture into the oyster hills here in Charleston (got my first crack and drowned last year lol) while hunting for redfish. Comes with a…

For example, I've never seen epoxy.

Very impressed with the set. Tons of clear instructions. quality gloves. It even comes with mixing bowls and stirrers! For example, I've never seen them come with an epoxy kit. Usually I have to find something like a plastic sheet and some wooden sticks. Sometimes I don't have them. It literally came with everything I needed. Except for the smoke mask, but that's a bit much I think and I had it. It really worked with HDPE! I was told that "HDPE doesn't stick" but this material stuck perfectly…

Works perfectly. Ideal for repairing kayaks.

My Hurricane Skimmer Kayak 116 has a serious design flaw. The seat support was insufficient. Cracks formed immediately behind the seat support, which were not immediately visible until the warranty expired. I researched different ways to fix this problem and came across positive reviews about this product. very difficult to reach so I had to apply the paste quite generously without making direct contact with the cracks. I added some extra material to strengthen the damaged area. The results…

Very good sport epoxy

This epoxy is very good. As advertised, once cured it is very strong but still allows for some flexibility. As for the degree of flexibility, it is difficult to qualify. However, if you cure the diluted puddle on a piece of paper and then do the same with the standard epoxy, the standard epoxy will become more brittle as the cured puddle is folded and twisted. The epoxy gives off a certain odor after mixing which gives me the impression that it is a strong industrial grade substance. However…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Easy repairability

Clear instructions - additional tools required

There was more than enough material to make the necessary repairs. Procedures vary depending on the type of repair (cracks, gouges, or holes) and its size. Additional tools are required for quality work. Use a sharp scraper to chamfer both sides of the crack and, if accessible, the inside of the crack. Before filling potholes or cracks, the plastic surface to be fixed must be heated very briefly with a propane flame. This changes the molecular structure of the material and allows the epoxy to…

Worked for me! by boat

I had a 5-6 inch tear in the hull of my Trilon Hurricane kayak. I have used this product in combination with some patches (recommended by Hurricane) which are heated and then applied to create a strong bond to the mold of the damaged area of the case. Unfortunately I wasn't able to heat the patch sufficiently to get a good watertight seal (bad as I only had a blow dryer to heat it. After a brief attempt to heat the patch I found this to be iffy was, but decided to give it a try anyway). The day
