Secure and Convenient Car Windshield Suction Cup Mount for COBB Tuning AccessPORT V3 Review

Falls off as interior warms up. Especially parked in the sun. Durability is mediocre, I have a rear engine mount on my car and this thing shakes almost to the point where I can't read my AP. Also, the adjustment knobs tend to loosen fairly quickly, so I kept reconfiguring my AP. What annoys me the most is that the suction mechanism broke completely in less than 8 months. See attached picture. I would not recommend this product.

After falling off the alcohol-wiped windscreen several times while driving, whether on hot or cold days, it was thrown into the glove compartment and forgotten. It's also sometimes too thin. The arm wasn't long enough to clear my dashboard, meaning it had to be pulled up the windshield, but then it obstructed my forward view more than I wanted. Just too many little annoyances to keep or buy again as I miraculously travel back in time. YMMV *shrugs*

Overall I am happy with this product. It doesn't bounce like those crappy radar detector mounts. It is very strong and has a suction cup. well that's shit?! I'm not sure what else to say about that. Beautiful piece. Place it on my WRX's windshield so it holds the access hole to the left of my wheel. The suction power is super strong and did not disappear even with temperature fluctuations from -10 to 55 degrees. (Winter in MI). The long lever is easy to adjust up and down, then tighten until it clicks into place. Worked pretty well until it recently broke while driving (bought Jan 2021, broke July 2021). At first I thought it just lost suction and fell off (as it sometimes does), but then I realized the suction cup was still on my windshield. This product is priced right. Otherwise the manufacturer has to change it. Pros: - The fit and finish of the V3 AccessPort stand is perfect - Overall this item looks like a quality product and is made from a strong, presumably impact resistant plastic (probably ABS, most likely Polypropylene) - The suction cup stays in place. In my use of this mount, the shell has only come off the windshield once or twice - the vertical tilt adjustment lever stays in place once you adjust it as desired. Bad: -
