The location will play a role. Not as much as I had hoped.

Maybe it's the location but the reception isn't very good. Interestingly, before I mounted it on the wall, it could have been a little better. You might want to consider this before doing the same. It is safer to attach the device to a cardboard backing or similar object and then mount it on the wall. Then if you need to move or adjust it, you can easily do so. I get a lot of pixelation and drop on many stations including the main networks which was the main reason I bought the antenna.

Works perfectly! in TV Antennas

We were tired of paying exorbitant monthly fees for satellite TV and there was no way to go back to cable as it was just as ridiculously expensive. My husband and I did a lot of research to make sure our location was getting a strong enough signal and everything pointed to yes. When the antenna arrived we plugged it in and played with it a bit and were pleasantly surprised at the number of channels received and the pristine picture on HD channels. Once we knew we could get our local channels I…

Having worked television repairs for most of my young adult life, I have long known Winegard's excellent reputation in antenna technology. I was happy to find a spot on the living room wall where I could get at least 29 TV channels (roughly triple what we got before the cable was installed. The picture quality is excellent move before finding the best location, although you should follow the instructions for tuning your TV channel each time.I live west of Tampa near the Gulf of Mexico where the

Still wireless and stable.

I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a hill town where most of the train station towers are over 20 miles away. With my old short-range Terk antenna I was able to receive 2-4 channels depending on the location. With this new Winegard antenna I can receive all major stations, some film channels, PBS and last but not least CBET Channel 9 from Windsor. (Canada Hockey Night!) The channels I get now are 2, 4, 7, 9, 18, 20, 50, 56 and 62 with a few extra channels attached to most of them including movies…

Winegard Flatwave Amped Indoor Antenna

I wasn't impressed with the Winegard Flatwave Amped Internal Amplified HDTV Antenna. I bought this for my mum who got about 6 clear channels of reception with a much older digital antenna. She has an old TV. With the Winegard Flatwave antenna she would only get 4-5 additional channels. Altogether we were able to receive a total of 9 to 11 stations with the help of the new antenna. Some of them were repeat channels. At night you can receive a few more channels, 13-14 on average at most. I spent…
