Crops the image on scanners and accessories

I wanted them to like it but alas when you put film in the tray it snaps in the stars so it crops part of the image. There was no way around it, so I had to send it back.

Alignment pins slightly misaligned

The tiny pins that hold the negatives in place are molded slightly from where they should be, causing the spacer bars to easily cut into the negatives.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Minor issues

Terrible quality, doesn't work properly

The purpose of the film holder is to hold the film flat and only cover the edges. These film holders do neither. The film does not lay flat even when closed, and the tabs used to align the film with the spacer bars do not line up with the sprocket holes. Thought it would be a good bang for the buck but it's completely useless

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Thin

Works well, sprocket stay problem.

Works great. The presence of racks for sprocket holes can be combined with the presence of spacers between frames, making it difficult to align individual frames and not always aligning them perfectly. If your film is curled or warped, it's a big pain. The best design is where you can put the film, like in the other negative holder I have.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • So-so

Great help to make memories!

Perfect as a safety net. Now I collect all my negatives from photos taken with my 35mm camera. I want to back them up to my computer and then back them up again so I always have them. It's fun looking at the negatives before there were digital photos and remembering the good times. Now I can collect and download them. These negative shells are great backups! I started photography in 1976.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance

I misunderstood the description when ordering

When I bought the Wolverine block it only had one slide holder and two negative holders. I have a lot of slides and negatives so I reordered the trays and only got negative holders. My fult is for reading but not for looking at. It's a bit tricky for holders to line up the rods with the frames on the negatives, so it's a real delay to get a nice quick workflow. The slides are simple: Larry

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

More slide trays in slide and negative scanners

I bought 3 additional trays to see if it would help thousands upon thousands of negatives. At first it seemed like the problem was aligning the original negative with the little upward-pointing notches that one half of the tray has. But once I had the left side of the tray focused on the negative film with the first notch, I held the left side of the negative in the notch and then followed the rest of the negative to the notches with my right hand. It's really easy if you follow these initial…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
