    good but 4 dowels are missing

    Good quality some have nicks but all are usable. My biggest complaint is that I got 96 out of 100 I ordered. If you really need 100, keep this in mind.

    Good consistent dowel product

    Excellent product! Perfect for my furniture project. The packaging says it's made in the USA and is made of solid wood. The quality of the dowels seems to be good. Few color variations, but overall they were pretty consistent.

    If you need dowels, then you are here!

    I used these to assemble some bookshelves I ordered to replace the ones supplied (they seemed a little flimsy) Can't tell you how glad I am that i did that . The bookshelves are stronger than I hoped, in fact I need to order 2 more bookshelves and I could just tell them to ship them without the dowels. Excellent investment.

    Mandatory for furniture repairs

    These pins are grooved for gluing and beveled on the ends for ease of installation. I had an old captain's chair with three broken screws. I had to use "Easy Exit" to remove the stuck broken screw tips. A screw came out so hard that the original hole was damaged. In such a case, drill down the original screw hole to 3/8 inch, insert the pin, and then re-drill the screw hole. These pins provided a first class repair.

    I see, a round pin in a round hole. What can go wrong?

    These dowels are very consistent in diameter and the first fits like the last. They're thick enough to be tucked in, which is ideal as all that friction helps keep them in place at all times. I've never broken a dowel or fallen out of a hole. I don't normally do a dry fit test (no glue) as the dowels are a bit difficult to remove after installation. Not impossible, mind you, just a bit painful. Also, the second fitting will not be as tight as the first. So I measure carefully guys and be ready…
