Best value for money OEM filter

Built-in Lennox filter. In December 2019 I had to upgrade to a new Lennox HVAC system. I thought I would replace the installed MERV 16 filter with the new system as it is almost 6 months old. But I was surprised that very little dirt got into the original filter, so I reinstalled the old one and will wait for the filter to get dirtier. I have cats and the carbon fiber in the filter helps get rid of cat litter odors throughout the house.

Update 2019 Super filters for serious air quality requirements

Have been using these filters for 4 years now. I just had a professional exam. The air conditioner coil was so clean the technician couldn't do anything. Today I will order the fourth filter. I installed the last one in November 2017. (I'm not saying you should wait that long). A few notes on quality: these filters are pretty reliable. Many cheaper filters can bend, snap, snag, or break during installation or removal if you're not very careful. They have retractable tabs on the side - not…

HIGH QUALITY filter. But it costs no more than MERV11/12 filters.

I've been using MERV 11-12 filters for years and decided to try this hideous filter. It's incredibly durable and well built, possibly with twice the amount of pleats/material as the filters are rated 11-12 MERV and last longer than cheaper ones. However, I did not notice any improvement in the air quality in our house. Not that we've had BAD air quality with other filters, but my wife and kids have allergies and I was hoping this might improve things. Overall a very high quality filter that…

You don't know good air until you breathe dirty air!

I have read several complaints and cannot confirm any of them. Seriously, this filter fits my Lennox perfectly. It's very easy to remove and install, maybe because I have xc25. Every year I change this filter and the one that comes out is full of dirt and I put a new one in. As promised, the filter works with infrared green light that kills germs, bacteria and allergens. Is it expensive. but he takes care of your lungs and your family. Therefore, the purity of quality and results gives you…

All 20x25x5 filters are not the same size

This is the recommended filter size for my Lennox/Healthy Climate filter cabinet (HCC20-28). It just fits well. I initially ordered another brand and was surprised when it was about 1/4 inch too wide and didn't slip. Turns out the 5 inches was 4.75 inches, not 4 and 3/8 inches. This was the actual size of the slide in the track. (and the width of the old filter. who knew). Different manufacturers have different opinions on the advertised 5" filter width, so read the fine print. They all seem to

One of the best filter media available

This is without a doubt one of the best filter media your money can buy. They have some installation issues in 3rd party cabinets, but it's pretty easy to put together a set of foam pads in the filter housing (Honeywell in my case) to take care of that. If you don't have a good fit in your closet, you'll get a bypass filter and probably won't get the full performance of the filter. The charcoal coating on this filter helps with odors a bit, but honestly is its main selling point. This filter…

MERV16 filters are exactly what you need!

We have a brand new premium Lennox HVAC system that was installed in our home about 2 years ago. The system uses a Honeywell MERV 11, 20x25x5 filter. We changed this filter every 3 months but my wife kept sneezing and there was a lot of dust in the house which appeared to be generated by the HVAC system. We were about to add a secondary filter system when I came across these MERV16 filters. I thought - it's only $100 or so - worth a try. I installed this MERV16 filter and within a day you could

Make Sure Your HVAC System Can Handle the MERV 16 Filter

I have identified two issues that any potential buyer should be aware of. First, the filter is not 5 inches thick. /8". Filters at Home Depot advertised as 4" are exactly the same thickness. So you may think you are buying a better filter, but you are actually buying a 4" filter that is wrong. Second, 3 months .After installing this filter, my HVAC system started failing. I have a premium carrier Infinity system that will self-diagnose and shut itself down. After a week of spot heat and a call…
