One hand is loose, interferes with work.

I was really hoping to use these hands instead of the hands on watches with the same movement. They all add up, and the final part is the one that brings it all together. However, one of the other arms has somehow become loose, and once it hangs down, the rest of the watch doesn't run properly. Super upset. The metal is very light and very cheap. Maybe it's just a quality control issue.

Added value for the repair of your wall clock

Not many words. But the price of this movement can be the sentimental value of the watch that got this interchangeable movement. The distribution of 3 arrows according to the compact instructions is easy to do. After inserting the battery, the mechanism runs smoothly and without noise. Very accurate. My final comment: Many thanks to TiKRound for providing this mechanism for this wall clock that is back in service. You have a great sentimental value and you have made it possible to return this…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Easy to repair

The instructions call for the arrows to be parallel during installation. Well, that's easier said than done (at least for my clumsy hands). I had to bend the second hand up a bit to keep it from catching on the minute hand. This is not a complaint; I'm just not very good at things that require that much precision. And once I bend the second hand (the bend isn't even visible), the movement works perfectly. I'm glad it's second hand and not one of those click-click mechanisms so the noise doesn't

Size matters! - Watch hardware

My old mantel clock needed a new movement, but the Shen Bang HD-1688 movement was nowhere to be found. After carefully measuring the 1688, I found that the Youngtown 12888 Snap In is a very similar size. So I prayed and ordered it. It came quickly and exactly as ordered. I couldn't use the arms that came with it (they were too long) but I was able to install my old arms and they fit almost perfectly. So good that it actually worked perfectly and I am very satisfied. The moral is to measure a…

Very good product, good value for money.

There was no communication with the seller. Bought two, both work well so far and seem accurate, but haven't had them long enough to be sure. The original hands on my Springfield watch fit the new movement, but the hands on my Seiko watch didn't fit, so I had to use the new hands, which are black and I couldn't read them on the black dial. So I bought cheap nail polish and repainted them. Nail polish is really good for this job as each bottle comes with a small brush and the color can be…

Easy replacement for 11 " wall clock

This was an inexpensive replacement mechanism for a no longer available Chessie 11" wall clock which my wife wanted to keep. The original move was another seemingly inexpensive push-hand move that has worked well (so fingers crossed) for over 20 years. I had to bend the minute and second hands up a bit to get all the hands touching, but this is easy and impossible to tell. I was hoping the old hands would work with the new movement but they didn't have a metal bushing and unfortunately they…

Worked great. It's hard to find a short stem with little play

The product corresponds fully to the description. Some reviewers complained that the kit didn't include the necessary hardware to make the propulsion possible. You didn't read the description carefully enough as it is a locking type. I was having a hard time finding a very short shaft movement to replace the original movements in my Seiko & Linden quartz wall clock. I bought two. The hands on some of the original watches match the movement, while on others I used one of the kits included in the

This watch will definitely not replace a Seiko that no longer works.

The movement of the battery in our Seiko mantel clock has stopped working. The Seiko model needed to run my watch was around $30-$40 and I went with what I thought was an accurate replacement, but it wasn't. The size is almost perfect, but there was an alignment mounting hole that needed to be modified (drilling deeper). The original arrows from Seiko didn't fit these posts, but I was able to easily adjust the appropriate arrows with a corner cutter. Overall, I'm very happy with this device…

Quiet and still works well

We have a small clock with an oiled bronze finish and a Takane push-open/click mechanism which has given up after 20 years of service. The Takane quartz movement was ticking and I was looking for a silent replacement. The Takane replacement is made in the USA and retails for $20. It was a fraction of the price and it's quiet. The takane was held on with screws, and since this mechanism didn't have any to match, I used a few small strips of double sided tape to attach the mechanism. Since our…
