Don't hold out too long!

I keep buying these lights and they keep failing. I don't know how long they should last, but mine only seems to last around 6-8 weeks at 10-12 hours a day. I don't know if this is normal, but it's definitely annoying and expensive. I've ordered them from Revain or bought them from a pet store and they seem to have the same result.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Temporary lamp - reptiles and amphibians

I bought the lamp in September and put it to use in November. I woke up this morning and my poor beard was so cold from last night's 40 degree heat. I had to run to the store and buy another lamp. I read reviews that this lamp will last 6 months. mmm wrong. Now after 12 hours my bear cub is better but damn it. Don't buy this lamp if you don't want your bulb to burn out in 2 months 🀦

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Useless functions

Not only is it very annoying, I can feel the lightbulb explode.

Serves as much as you like for 2-3 months, but as it burned out the glass separated from the metal. Now the metal part is stuck in the lamp holder and I haven't been able to get it out yet. Luckily I had a spare. Not only is it very annoying, I also feel that the lightbulb, which basically explodes if it burns out, is not safe, so I won't be buying it again.

Great for bearded dragons!

I use this lamp on all four of my bearded dragons. It heats the tanks very well and keeps the temperature very well. It's a great price too. Depending on the size of your tank and dragon, you may need higher, lower, or even additional heat lamps. I use it in combination with the Zoo Med 25157 Reprising 10.0 UVB Mini Compact Fluorescent 13W, my dragons are perfectly happy and healthy. . Please remember that when using this light on bearded dragons you must also use the appropriate UV light or…

Heater Bulbs for our Turtles

I use these bulbs for our turtles, they are wonderful and serve a multi purpose purpose. They are a source of light and heat, so they can keep themselves warm and warm. They need sunlight just as much as we do, and these lightbulbs provide that source. The only problem is that they are expensive and easily broken. You must remember to use a rag or gloves to insert them as they are halogen bulbs and the oil from your hands will burn them. They also don't absorb well and don't last as long as a…

Crashed and burned in smoke!

I bought this bulb in April 2014. I don't leave the lights on when I leave the apartment because I'm always on the lookout for possible fires. Today my paranoia finally paid off. I'm in another room and my friend hears a bang. He goes to the turtle tank and the lightbulb in the tank is broken and smoke comes out. Luckily someone was there to turn off the lamp to avoid a possible fire. There was glass everywhere and we quickly pulled the turtles out to make sure they didn't hurt themselves. I…
