Great value for money

I'm sorry to give this product 3 stars as it's probably my fault it didn't work well. I just got a new turtle. I put it in a large plastic tub, about 23 gallons. I put one of these in water and after two days it became all cloudy and the pill disintegrated. I had to do a complete water change as I hadn't set up my filtration system yet. Like I said, it was probably my fault. Also, the tablet I put there was broken in transit so it might have something to do with that. My tortoise wouldn't eat…

Handy to have

I just rescued an adult RES female and I just love her! She has pyramids so I know she was overfed on a high protein diet and since I don't know her background I don't know how good her health is. She's going to see a turtle doctor in a few days, so I'll know better then, but I can't get her to eat veggies! That caused me stress. All she will eat is dried shrimp, which has more protein and those blocks. She finally ate her green reptiles today, but that vegetable thing is stressful. Knowing…

Very handy for emergencies!

I always had these blocks on hand when my red-eared turtles were little and my husband and I were about to travel. Between two small turtles the blocks would easily last a week which saved us the worry of feeding our turtles while we were away. They were also very fond of eating these blocks. As they grew we started using two blocks instead of one. Once they are around 3.5 to 4 inches tall (measured across the width, not head to tail!), they will easily eat a block in a day.
