## Payouts

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Payout schedule | Payouts run several times a day; a balance is paid in the next round once it reaches the miner's payout limit. |
| Payout scheme explained | PPLNS: the reward of each block the pool finds is split among miners in proportion to their recent shares, so balances grow only when the pool finds a block. |
| Payout limit | Each miner can change the payout limit in the account settings, within the range set for each coin. |

## Connecting

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Server regions | Europe (two servers), US East, US West, Asia, Japan and Australia. |
| Protocol | Stratum, with an SSL port on each server; the pool recommends the SSL connection. |
| Account needed | No registration: an account is created automatically within 30 minutes of the first valid share sent to a wallet address. |
| Supported hardware | GPU and CPU rigs; Monero can be mined with a CPU but not with an ASIC. |

## Security and transparency

- There is no login: account settings are protected by the email address or passphrase set in the mining software's configuration.
- Miners can receive email alerts when a worker goes offline by adding an email address to the miner configuration.

## History

| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| 2015 | The nanopool.org site copyright starts in 2015. |
| 15 September 2022 | After Ethereum moved to proof of stake, Nanopool closed its ETH pool and paid out the remaining balances; an ETHW pool replaced it. |

## Risks and caveats

- The pool states that miners use it at their own risk and that it cannot compensate losses.
- Accounts inactive for six months are deleted, and any remaining balance goes to the pool as a donation.

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
