# deBridge (DBR): how it works, supply and reviews

## In short

- **Type**: A cross-chain trading layer where solvers provide liquidity on demand and there are no shared liquidity pools.
- **Maximum supply**: DBR total supply: 10,000,000,000 DBR (deBridge Foundation dashboard).
- **Risks and caveats**: During a DLN order, the user's tokens sit in a smart contract until the order is filled or cancelled.
- **Checked**: 1 November 2026

## On-chain stablecoin data

- **Stablecoins held in its contracts (floor)**: At least US$1.90 m, read on 18 of its 18 contracts on 1 November 2026
- **Stablecoin flows, 7 days (25 October 2026 – 31 October 2026)**: Locked US$134.52 m, released US$135.58 m, net −US$1.06 m

On-chain measurement by Stablecoin Scanner (ACHIVX), not a reserve or solvency claim. As of 31 October 2026. For a bridge the scanner counts a lock as inflow and a release as outflow; its set is the contracts named by the bridge’s own deployment list or L2BEAT. ## Key facts

Key facts checked on 1 November 2026 against official sources.

## What is deBridge

deBridge is a non-custodial cross-chain trading and messaging protocol. Its deBridge Liquidity Network (DLN) fills each order from solvers' own capital instead of shared liquidity pools, and its messaging layer (DMP) passes messages between chains under validator threshold signatures.

## Network and consensus

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Type | A cross-chain trading layer where solvers provide liquidity on demand and there are no shared liquidity pools. |
| Messaging | deBridge Messaging Protocol (DMP): messages need validator threshold signatures; signatures are stored on Arweave. |
| DLN and DMP | DLN is built on top of DMP and inherits its security model, including multi-validator consensus. |
| Supported chains | Docs list 18 chains: Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Polygon, Robinhood, Arc, Optimism, Base, Linea, Story, Cronos, HyperEVM, Monad, TRON, Injective, MegaEth. |
| Settlement assets | Solvers hold a small set of reserve assets: ETH, wETH, USDC (issued by Circle) on all supported chains, and USDT on TRON. |
| Launched | Mainnet launched in February 2022 with Ethereum, BSC, HECO, Arbitrum and Polygon. |
| Order cancellation | Unfulfilled orders can be cancelled; cancellation unlocks the source tokens in full, including fees. |

## Supply and issuance

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Maximum supply | DBR total supply: 10,000,000,000 DBR (deBridge Foundation dashboard). |
| Initial distribution | Community & Launch 20%, Ecosystem 26%, Core Contributors 20%, deBridge Foundation 15%, Strategic Partners 17%, Validators 2%. |
| Vesting | Core contributor and strategic partner allocations had nothing unlocked at TGE and vest quarterly over 3 years. |
| Reserve Fund | The deBridge Reserve Fund uses 100% of protocol earnings to accumulate DBR and other assets, held on the DAO's balance sheet. |

## What DBR is used for

- DBR is the governance token of the deBridge ecosystem.
- Holders can stake DBR to vote in DAO governance, e.g. on active validators, the consensus threshold and new chain integrations.
- Governance manages the treasury and ecosystem reserves.
- Once delegated staking and slashing are live, DBR can be staked for validators as slashable collateral.

## Who develops and governs deBridge

- **Legal entity**: debridge.com names DxTech Inc., a corporation (no. 155728732) with a legal address in Panama City, Panama.
- **Foundation**: deBridge Foundation runs debridge.foundation; its terms are governed by Cayman Islands law.
- **Founders**: Alex Smirnov is named as Co-Founder and CEO in the mainnet announcement.
- **Governance**: Governance is to take over gradually; at launch a technical multisig controlled the protocol.
- **Team**: deBridge says it has over 50 people.
- **Restrictions**: deBridge does not serve persons in jurisdictions where its services are prohibited, including U.S. persons.

## History

| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| 17 February 2022 | deBridge mainnet launched, starting with Ethereum, BSC, HECO, Arbitrum and Polygon. |
| 5 October 2022 | deBridge announced the deSwap Liquidity Network (DLN), a design without locked liquidity. |
| 21 May 2024 | deBridge introduced DBR, its governance token. |
| 17 October 2024 | The DBR Season 1 airdrop claim window opened (to 17 May 2025). |
| 16 October 2025 | deBridge moved from debridge.finance to debridge.com. |

## Security and audits

- deBridge lists audits by Halborn, Neodyme and Zokyo; reports are in its debridge-security GitHub repository.
- deBridge runs a bug bounty programme on Immunefi.
- deBridge states it has had zero security incidents since launch.
- In August 2022 co-founder Alex Smirnov reported an attempted phishing attack on the team, which he attributed to the Lazarus group.

## Security incidents

Incidents are reported by third parties (press, incident databases) but are not confirmed in the company’s own channels, so none is listed here.

## Official DBR contracts

| Network | Contract address |
|---|---|
| Solana | [DBRiDgJAMsM95moTzJs7M9LnkGErpbv9v6CUR1DXnUu5](https://solscan.io/token/DBRiDgJAMsM95moTzJs7M9LnkGErpbv9v6CUR1DXnUu5) |

DBR is an SPL token on Solana. The mint address is the output token of the 'Acquire DBR' link on the deBridge Foundation's Reserve Fund page.

## Risks and caveats

- During a DLN order, the user's tokens sit in a smart contract until the order is filled or cancelled.
- Message security depends on deBridge's validator set reaching a signature threshold.
- deBridge's services are not offered to U.S. persons; the Foundation's terms also bar listed countries.
- 'Zero security incidents' and uptime figures are deBridge's own statements.

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
