NEW UPDATE: Less than a month later (9 DAYS left!) it's not working anymore. It makes a moving sound and lights up, but the lid won't open. I'm attaching a video. It's terrible because I loved it when it actually worked. i give it back ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love this trash can. I really hope that this continues for a while. I'll be back in a month for an update.

Kind of not happy and if anyone from EKO wants to help I'd be very happy. Ordered a motion sensor bin that was supposed to have a fully removable plastic liner. This jar has a good sensor that works well to open and close the lid without touching it. A button can be pressed to hold the lid open until a separate closing button is pressed. To load, garbage bags (13 gallons) are wrapped around a small plastic frame, and then the bag is placed in the tank with the frame. I had the previous model 3 1/2 years before the sensor failed.
