decent screen, worthless nibs

if you get worthless nibs then at least give them more. the spring broke, tomorrow I have to run to the hardware store and fix something.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • some cons

Revainrating 2 out of 5

One spring missing, tool broken, moving

Only two springs received, not three. I went to install and the tool bent. Since I only have two nibs, I can do just one piece or move all over the place.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Weight

Well thought-out assembly, good fit and functionality

Mesh nets fit well and are definitely a good idea for insect protection. It took patience and perseverance to hook the small springs into the vent. Although after the end everything was fine.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Speed

It works best in sheds

When we bought our camper we were told it was a good idea. So we bought it and installed it ourselves. We are in our 60's and found the installation easy and straightforward. We've camped in places where wasps might be a problem and the last thing we wanted was for those guys to climb into the vents and cause trouble.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Outwardly never better

Screens are good. The spring clips for attaching the screens are terrible. In addition to the so-called useless "tool" you get, you'll need a pair of needle nose pliers to hold one side of the clip while trying to make sure the other side of the clip is where it needs to be. I will not buy these sets again! If you have bigger arms than a five year old, forget it!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not easy to install, but once installed they should do the job

I'm not sure the springs retain enough tension after being stretched to hold the screens. I ended up using three nibs on the big screen and only one on the small one because the small one was just unmanageable. I'll probably remake the screens with zip ties so they don't fall off when moving.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • The list will be long.
