    Amazing customer service!

The first pair broke and Zero Shoes sent me a new pair for free! And they're expressing it because I told the guy I work with I'm going to be traveling soon and I need sandals. They got there just a few hours before I left for the airport! I love these sandals. You can go anywhere in them and they feel amazing and light weight unlike other brands that are bulky. Ideal for wider feet, never rubs or rubs

    Pros
    • Lightweight, easy and convenient to pack
    Cons
    • The sandal layout is completely wrong. It's just useless.

    Be patient and scale down.

Xero shoes are minimalist, very minimalist. If you've never worn a minimalist shoe before, it takes time to get used to it. Be patient. Z Trek is very good. Slim and comfortable, with Z-braces similar to those used by Chacos. I give it four stars because the straps that connect to the sandals are a bit flimsy. They can break if too much pressure is applied to them. Xero Shoes has had quality issues in the past, but things seem to have improved. Z-Treks are usually about a half size. So I…

    Pros
    • Minimal sand as expected
    Cons
    • Z-Trek Xero Shoes men's sports sandals are too expensive

The real thing! (just a mistake)

This is a dream come true for me. I've been waiting for years to walk around in minimalistic sandals, which are not widely available in my country, and last week I finally got them. I haven't walked much yet (winter is here) but it's really nice. The front end and the way it sits on me kinda pushes my foot forward without holding it, leaving the toes fairly open to meet obstacles in the way, but maybe that can be solved with proper tightening . Check out the next-gen improvements, this is just…

    Pros
    • Minimal support is the main thing, great product and price
    Cons
    • We came back. Not what we expected.

Rubbing my heel is good for me

I want to love them, but the lip around the heel rubs the heel very hard. I have flat feet with pronation, that could be a factor. The sole is also more like plastic, so the bottom of the foot sweats a lot. This is my first pair of strapped saddles so I'm still trying to get used to how tight they have to be. However, now I understand why there are so many reviews saying they are broken. The ring on the back strap is the only weak point if you overtighten it. I've done short hikes in them and…

    Pros
    • Very cool. Very social. Robust floors. Let you know how they work after some time.
    Cons
    • Very thin and noisy shoes. On the first run, I tripped and snapped the loop of my sandal strap.

    Should be medium sized

I ordered these sandals based on a recommendation. Nice and comfortable but too long. I wear size 12 and size 11 would be too short. Ideally they should offer an 11 1/2, but that option isn't available at Walmart (when I ordered my pair). I plan on clipping an extra toe off my sandals so I don't trip over them. It seems like extra work for a $70 pair of sandals, but other than that they're good enough that I won't be returning them.

    Pros
    • I like minimal coverage or maximum impact and a carefree feel. That makes it very convenient.
    Cons
    • The pieces of rubber that the straps attach to are very thin. Mine broke in less than a week.

All day, every day is the best in my rating

Like most people, I started going barefoot after reading Christopher McDougall's Born to Run in high school about 10 years ago. During the track season, I went to training in sneakers with Vibram and even ran several kilometers in them. College blew me away and I didn't have that much time/money to work out and choose unique shoes. I got fat and didn't return to regular exercise about 2 years ago. I started lifting and exercising barefoot, but my wife and other gym-goers have always denounced…

    Pros
    • Non-slip tread for excellent grip
    Cons
    • Water and sweat make them slippery and uncomfortable

    Absolute BEST!: my rating

I love these things! It took me a day or two to adjust my feet properly but now I wear them everywhere. It really feels like you are barefoot but you get protection for the sole of your foot. We just built a rim to go around the house of the Grand Canyon and I ran it about 6 miles on the sole with no problems! 10/10 recommend

    Pros
    • The best sandals I've ever had. Costco sandals come in second, but for a different purpose.
    Cons
    • I love these shoes but they have started to give my feet a sharp chemical plastic smell. Disappointing!

Great product and great customer service too

offer more protection than Genesis style sandals but they do block some movement of the toes, I'd say great for sports, hiking, biking, some sort of added protection but still have enough toe room and airflow, for regular walking and casual wear. I recommend the Genesis Kit or the Diy Kit as they allow for even more toe room, more airflow and are also a bit easier to put on (all three models are very easy to put on and take off). They're very similar to barefoot, which is great for people like…

    Pros
    • Daily use is ok
    Cons
    • It would be nice but the size is small. . . .

Just doesn't work in my review

Whether you buy shoes with "toe loops" or sandals with toe straps, I've worn both, the whole concept of this shoe is wrong and doesn't work. No matter how shod the sandals are, they always "pull" the front end when your toes are lifted, but your shoes don't, and the front edge of the shoe is a major tripping hazard. I would see it as a threat if I gave them to a child, and even more so to an adult who could continually compensate for the danger these shoes bring to the table. The only people…

    Pros
    • Constructed from high quality materials for strength and durability
    Cons
    • The material from which they are made is not of the highest quality.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cheaply made, although the idea is good.

Miserable. The idea of these sandals is good, especially for those who are looking for a minimalist shoe. But they're just cheaply made. Garbage The first strap through the forefoot connects to the sole itself and passes through the slot. When I first put on sandals, I walked an easy mile. Second, I was mowing the lawn and the belt on one broke. I took it off and went home barefoot when the other one broke in the same place. just trash.

    Pros
    • It's great when your legs work the way they're supposed to!
    Cons
    • These shoes are perfect for any hiker or hiking boot... BUT they broke after 3 days of travel. :(

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very comfortable, fits well but would like half sizes

I've had several pairs of Xero shoes and I love them. These sandals are just as comfortable and usually fit well, but are slightly longer. I usually use 10.5, but they only come in whole sizes. 10 are too small and 11 are too long.

    Pros
    • Ideal for a variety of activities including hiking, running, kayaking and more.
    Cons
    • they are not stylish

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality - one shoe had a broken strap.

It was a Christmas present - unfortunately the shoelace broke the first time I wore it. 70€ is definitely not worth it. I just dropped them to return them so I'm waiting for a refund on this product.

    Pros
    • Stylish look
    Cons
    • Color options are limited

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best sandals in my review.

From creek walks to technical trail hikes, these shoes are my go-to. I love how versatile they are. I'm sure I pedal in them on the trail compared to any other shoe I've worn (and even compared to bare feet on smooth surfaces like wet rocks). Reduce the size by ½ as recommended.

    Pros
    • Ideal for people with foot or ankle problems.
    Cons
    • They are not suitable for people who need non-slip soles.

    Xero Z-Trek True Barefoot/Minimalist Men's Sandals

These are great sandals! I've used them to run, walk, and walk all over town. They are very light, but at the same time the sole is very durable. If you are looking for authentic sandals/minimalist sandals then this is for you!

    Pros
    • Unique zero-drop design for a more natural stride
    Cons
    • The sole is too thin and doesn't offer enough cushioning

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

My favorite sandals in my review.

I love red! They are comfortable, fit great, move great, look great, everything I want in a sandal. The company's customer service is excellent. Since 2011 I've been wearing Xero shoes almost exclusively.

    Pros
    • Versatile design for a variety of activities
    Cons
    • Straps can chafe skin and cause blisters.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Love her! My review

I love these sandals! I took the men's shoes because the toes made them look wider. They rub my ankles a bit, but that's due to swelling, which needs to be discussed separately. Also, the first pair I received had a small flaw and broke when trying to adjust them. I called Xero and got a new pair about a week later. Excellent customer service!

    Pros
    • I love the feeling of being barefoot
    Cons
    • Cannot be used in water. When moving in the water, the sock bends immediately.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    Behave like sand shovels

They tend to behave like shovels, I always have sand to scoop up and I have to clean them. And I'm not even on the beach. Superior craftsmanship and attention to detail.

    Pros
    • Superb craftsmanship and attention to detail
    Cons
    • They are not suitable for people who need to wear socks with sandals.

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

If you are looking for active sandals. It's not like this.

So it's great and comfortable if you like walking barefoot. Concentrate on walking. Ongoing work with settings. But anything else? Not recommended. I had read that sandals sometimes broke and hoped it was just a few broken ones. Unfortunately, while playing in the park, the right rubber band of the sandal ripped next to the large bar. To be honest, for $60 I was expecting it to be a little tougher. i like the feeling But the durability really needs to be improved. 2 stars as I'm just sad and…

    Pros
    • Provides excellent traction on any terrain
    Cons
    • They are not suitable for people who need oil-resistant shoes.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Love her! feedback from me

It's super comfortable. The straps are easily adjustable for a custom fit. I use them mostly when I'm running errands, but I also take 5 mile walks around town with them. My feet and the rest of my body are so happy now that I've switched from my old tight toe box, cushioned shoes and to minimalistic zero fall/barefoot shoes. Thanks Xero Shoes!

    Pros
    • Easy to put on and take off
    Cons
    • They are not suitable for people who need ankle support.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

These are minimalist shoes. But in front. Yeh!

This is what you see. The outsole is really strong! But the elastic that holds the ankle lacing is terrible, and there's nothing on the front of the shoe to help it stay close to your toes, so it folds under the shoe unless you do on everyone step a high step.

    Pros
    • I've been running on the treadmill in these sandals and it's great. I can't wait for them to hit the streets.
    Cons
    • Lasted a few months with very occasional use.
