Review on πŸ–οΈ Faber-Castell Graphite Aquarelle Water-soluble Pencils Set of 5 with Brush, Grey - Enhanced SEO by Summer Hendricks

Ideal for watercolor or mixed media

While watching a video tutorial on Dewent Inktense pencils, the artist mentioned that she used water-soluble graphite pencils to sketch in her drawings. I've never heard of such things, but a quick search turned up them. It's much more than just a rough sketch tool before you actually create a drawing. I experimented with this for about a month using different papers and different amounts of water. Pencils come in different hardnesses: HB, 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B. They go well with what you would expect from regular graphite changing from gray to black with softer pens. Color tends to lighten with washing compared to Inktense pens which darken and intensify when wet. The brush that comes with the pens is fairly stiff and can be turned into a tip that picks up fine detail or smooths it out a bit for a broader stroke. Easy to clean with water. I usually rinse it out and do a few strokes on a piece of paper or fabric and the good thing is that it can be removed.
