I have a 2001 330ci with Harmon Kardon. Simple plug and play that can easily be done in 1-2 hours. The system itself is great and easy to use. My biggest problem was not starting the car to activate the amp. If there is no sound, be sure to start the car! As for the negative reviews, most of them are from people who just didn't check if it would fit their car before spending HOURS installing it. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Now the only "minus" in this system - the touch screen is a little behind. Don't expect it to be as responsive as the iPhone, but it's fine for general use. After all, it's a SIGNIFICANT improvement over the stock system, and until something better comes along (probably not), then this is your BEST option.
