PRO: You get a whole knife set for the same price as a good steak knife set with quality handles. While the handles aren't straightforward, they definitely do the job on these knives. You get a lot of knives for a small price. Razor sharp so be careful. The edge lasts a long time but fades with heavy use. The filleting knife works like a dream. Rock 'n' Chop will end up being your knife for many kitchen tasks. I love my rock 'n' chop, as they say when showing off these knives if they still do. The herb knife works great and doubles as a pastry blade. A paring knife is great for precision slicing of everything from peeling apples, oranges, bananas to removing pits from fruit. Can't remember but seems like I even used mine once to dig up a splinter. CONS: I actually bought them because I got a full set and the steak knives got a bit dull. All knives dull over time. Mine were of great value. I still give that 5 stars but if you don't have a knife block you'd better spend more and get more. I mean for a little over twenty dollars you can get a world class 18 piece Miracle Blade set that comes with a great knife block. (And yes I have the same knife block, it's well made) Another downside is that while the scissors are sharp they aren't as high quality, I prefer the hard stainless steel scissors which are no longer available. Ok, now I would buy it again or recommend it to a friend. Yes, if you can only afford $50 (and want to keep all your knives in a drawer or have a knife block) then these knives are for you. However, if you want a larger set with a slightly better looking knife block, I would recommend getting the Miracle Blade World Class 18 Piece Set with Knife Block, also available from Revain for less than $75. Either way, you can't go wrong with Miracle Blade knives.
