I love making soap for the house. I mostly use "melt and pour soap" because I haven't had the time to experiment with traditional lye soap on my own. You need alone time to do this. These soap molds are perfect for smaller soaps. WHAT ARE YOU FOR? These shapes are nested within each other. However, they are not warped, although you would think they are warped when you first receive them. They're quite thick, but not as thick as other shapes I've used. FOR SOAP PERFORMANCE They make excellent soaps to give to students, as gifts for singles or for little samplers to see how people like the scents or designs. The soap comes out easily and has not deformed yet. As I use them more, maybe they will. FOR FOOD, they like to make small shapes like fruit juice gelatin in flowers, whipped jelly-like creamy layers and a different color on top. These shapes are perfect for that. Each individual block is a nice little dessert treat, as well as a great option for a party or special dinner. RESULTS So far they're fine with soaps and foods I've wanted to pour in. I hope they stand the test of time over time. I don't use the same molds for food as I do for soap, although I think it might be ok with a really good cleaning. MY RATES ARE FIVE STARS. I like small shapes. One of the kids lives in the dorm and all of her friends will love the soap, so it's a great way to make small soaps that they use instead of big ones that they can't use.
