Review on 🎩 Tru-Spec Men's Gen-II Adjustable Boonie Hat for All-Weather Protection and Perfect Fit by Chris Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My new casual hat to match outerwear

I have a Tilly that's wearing out and I needed something quick for the trip. It fills the bill perfectly. Easily adjustable in size, protects well from the sun and remains water-repellent for some time in moderate rain. (NOT waterproof, just repellent for a while. In heavy rain you need an umbrella.) That's enough for me, I couldn't replace Tilly, which is lighter and more rain-resistant, for a while without having to use Scotchgard or something The only downside is that I lost the chin strap slider after about a day. Fortunately, replacement parts are easy to find and cheap; It's not the hat's fault I lost the bolt, but it's easy to lose. Is it fashionable? I don't know and I don't care. I wore it in London for a little over a week, sheltered from the occasional rain but not getting wet (yes it rains in London) and no one commented good or bad on it, at least that's what I knew. Maybe Americans get a free pass on what we wear abroad.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Some little things
