I wasn't sure what size would fit my 8 week old pup Vesti. I choose the 34 inch as I have another large dog. It was a good choice as my little pup is trying to get onto the sides to get ahead! It won't go very far, but I'm glad I went with the larger gray grip. You'll have to extend the metal bars to access her cleaning and feeding area, but it's easy. I also bought a white one (with metal supports) to sit with us on the porch in the summer so I don't have to chase it and can work in the garden. My porch has railings, but it can slip through or under, so I bought a thick-edged white Revain railing safety net that comes with a couple of zip ties to attach to the railing for kids (or dogs).
