I've been using this leash for about 7 months...mind you I don't even come surfing every weekend. You might think that's what I do... I don't just throw my board away every wave or anything (sometimes that happens). I also started with Costco boards 2-3 years ago and these leashes (although not as comfortable and they do curl) have never let me down on bigger boards! I won't post pictures of my board but it ended up hitting someone else's board and going up. Hoping it's not the coin that fixes it. I will not buy this leash again.
