Spare and replacement parts.
The original filter is best described as "washable" (yes, in quotes!). It can be washed, but it is not intended for constant washing, only before that it can be washed several times. decays or fungus begins to grow. This replacement pair comes with a brush to allow for better cleaning/dust removal (this brush and compressed air are better for "cleaning" this type of filter anyway). and I now have a spare on the shelf in case I decide the current filter is too dirty/contaminated to continue cleaning.
Pros
- This replacement pleated round filter is designed to catch dust and other contaminants collected by the unit. It can be cleaned, but over time it will clog and need to be replaced. It is made of durable corrugated material in a plastic frame.
