I have a WASD Keyboards sampler that includes red and blue o-rings that are about fifteen dollars a set. I use them because I think typing is a full contact sport, although it doesn't work very well when we share our home office or at work. I've used them on Cherry MX Brown switches. I found them to help with noise, but still found it easy to get a loud click when I press the keys with moderate force. With that in mind, I tested five options: no ring, one ring, two rings, WASD Red, and WASD Blue. Externally, these rings are the closest to the red WASD rings, and the blue WASDs appear to be about twice as thick (I use the blue WASDs on my other Cherry MX Clear keyboard). In order of preference, I prefer (1) blue WASD, (2) two ThreeBulls rings, (3 connected) red/ThreeBull WASD, (4) no ring. The feel of the two ThreeBulls rings is quite comfortable, so it's very close to the blue WASD (probably close enough that it doesn't matter much). I ended up just putting two rings on the letter keys and backspace, and for now everything looks pretty good (I had a few rings left after putting them on my 108-key keyboard). Given that ThreeBulls rings are half the price of WASD rings, I'm very pleased, hence the five stars.
