I am a software developer and have ignored wrist and forearm pain for almost a decade. It eventually got really bad, so I had to take some steps to improve my condition. I bought 5 vertical mice, 1 of the more expensive ones and 4 of the cheaper ones to see how they compare. My bottom line is that you just can't judge how good a mouse is for you based on reviews. Even small-handed reviewers like mine had opinions I completely disagreed with. And I think that's because people use the mouse in different ways. For example, some people place their entire hand on the mouse, while others use a "floating" hand. Some fix the wrist and move the arm, while others fix the elbow and move the forearm. Some have small hands; But wrist pads and wrist supports elevate the wrist, eliminating (or even overcompensating for) the problem of small hands. Be comfortable *initially* with *any* vertical mouse, because your arm will feel like it's hanging down, and if you try to straighten your arm, the mouse will feel unreliable because you're loosening your wrist. (This is where the wrist pad helped me a lot. After 2 weeks I was able to use the mouse without the wristband. But my goodness, I hated all 5 mice at first.) Anyway, moral of the story: bite! ball and buy some mice. For $150 you get 1 quality mouse and 1 or 2 cheaper ones. Here's a bracelet I like because it's not hard plastic (no accessories): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072392YGD. Products I compared: - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073B12MS6 (Jelly Comb) - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RK96WF8 (VicTsing) - https:/ / www. amazon.com/gp/product/B00BIFNTMC (Anker) - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BFCVJZC (Lekway) - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FNJB8TT (Logitech MX ) Other: - There's a reason I haven't tried the famous Evoluent VM4R. The updated model has been criticized for not keeping up with its predecessor, and its predecessor doesn't appear to have shipped a driver for Mac OSX Catalina, which is what I use. Anker and Lekvey have exactly the same chassis (and therefore the same size). The anchor is battery operated while the Levkey is being charged. VicTsing is slightly taller than her. Jelly Comb is significantly smaller than both. See the attached photo for a comparison of things like click and feel of the scroll wheel.
