This product really works! I have had cats for 30 years and during that time I have occasionally had a cat stop using the litter box for some reason. As any cat owner knows, this is the worst fight that can happen! If you notice this, carpets will most likely be literally destroyed because NOTHING removes the smell of cat pee from the carpet! me right?!? Many products claim it and many products almost mask it, but I have a very sensitive nose. My kids tell me I'm crazy, but I can walk into a room and instantly smell cat pee! Long story short, one of our favorite cats decided to stop using her litter box and started peeing on our BRAND NEW CARPET! I immediately went to Amazon to try and find a new miracle product that I didn't know about. I'm so thankful I found Skouts Honor! I don't know where you've been all my life! I poured some product into a spray bottle and turned off the light. Using a black light flashlight (which I found on Amazon) I was able to find every single urine stain. To my surprise, as I sprayed and soaked each dot, rubbing it with my fingertips, the stain disappeared from the black light along with the smell. The product itself had a pleasant smell. A little strong when first applied but no perfume smell and nothing left after drying. My carpet was literally restored like new! No smell of cat urine! You can't tell where the urine used to be, even with a black light! This stuff is amazing! And my rug certainly isn't expensive, in fact it was the cheapest option we could find so I'm not sure what it's made of, but it's quite a dark shade of brown and this product has nothing to do with the color.
