Choose these because the price is reasonable for a simple pair of shorts. Love a good pair of P/Is, but don't waste the money on multiple pairs for spin practice. I used the size chart and they fit perfectly (XL for my 40 inch waist). After a trip I ordered another pair as I felt they would serve as comfortable shorts for 3-4 workouts a week. After a few weeks of use, including washing, I recommend them with confidence. Comfortable and fit me well, they do what I asked them to do. They're not as "strong" or thick as P/I, but they're not cheap or fragile. Also indoors I appreciate how light they are compared to a pair of P/Is. The padding is fine - covers what I need and doesn't move. The seams, materials and workmanship seem good to me. I noticed that the waist band can shift a bit because it doesn't completely fill the fabric sleeve from top to bottom. It can bend and twist - probably because I have a big belly (hence my desire to train on a stationary bike). It's not a problem for me at the moment, but I'll keep an eye on it. Will update in a few months to discuss wear and tear. Update: I've been using them regularly for a few months now. I wash all my gym clothes in cold water. A small spoonful of borax and tide. Hang to dry. Holds up well. For the price unbeatable.
