Review on Optimized Aquarium Fish Tank Intake Filter Sponge Cover by Powkoo by Heidi Harter

After losing 4 fish in a week to a stuck filter I started researching how to stop this. I found the best option to get a pre-filter. I searched for hours and even ordered a pair. But unfortunately I could not find one for my filter. The Top Fin PF-L 20 Silent Stream is 1 inch in diameter and most of the sponges I've found have an inner diameter of less than half an inch. I saw that this one was a little less than an inch and figured I could stretch it out and get it to work. I had to cut out the bottom hole but it definitely works. A bit short (see photo) but I managed. The performance is slightly lower than without this filter. I feel like $9 is a bit overpriced for what you get, but considering I couldn't find anything else that worked, it's not a deal breaker. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
