When installed, viewing the screen from the left or right will block a good view of the screen. For example, if you're in a coffee shop, the person at the next table won't be able to read your email or see the contents of your slide. If they're sitting next to you on the plane, they may be able to see partially (e.g. half of the screen closer to them). The filter doesn't appear to block visibility from above or below. So if someone was standing directly behind you, they could easily read your screen. So again, in an airplane scenario, this doesn't offer much security or privacy. The filter fits my Microsoft Surface Book 2 so well that you hardly notice that a third-party filter is installed. It looks like it belongs to him. There are cutouts for microphones and front cameras, as well as small cutouts for speakers on the sides. It is about one millimeter smaller in width and height, so that it does not have to be positioned without tolerances when installed. that (which is good).
