Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Newly Released Japanese King Knife Sharpener Whetstone Grit 6000 HT-43/S-45: Enhance Knife Precision and Longevity by Dewitt Graham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent general purpose water stone.

This is the best sharpening stone for the money. It is generally accepted that to sharpen properly, one must start with a coarse grit to remove dull or mechanically fatigued metal, and then sharpen and polish with progressively finer grit. However, in my experience, using this stone for general purposes is generally faster and more efficient. Sharpen unless unusually great care is required. This stone is aggressive enough to produce noticeable results quickly, but fine enough to be used for knife edge dressing to increase cutting performance and for polishing knife bevels to a mirror-like finish (although deeper scratches on the metal will be visible will). ), unless you've successfully made the more traditional transition from low to high grit). This may be the only knife sharpener you need unless you make knives or sharpen a lot of knives on behalf of someone else.
