I have been a world class professional photographer for many years and I only buy the highest quality equipment! I am no longer in this industry. I've been shooting video lately and needed a video head mount because I like to work a lot with a tripod to keep everything stable and using a tripod gives you control over the framing of the shot. much better. I bought this head because it looked solid and although it looked small format in the picture, when it arrived I took it out of the box and was surprised to find a really high quality unit capable of handling large formats. All materials are of excellent quality and I would be proud of that if I worked in business! For the price it's a steal so don't hesitate. Another great feature is the quick release. This is something I've used a lot during my work, and part of the secret of my success has been being able to change settings quickly, and that allows for quick sharing. I've paid around $50 for a quick release in the past, so not only do you get that here, you get an entire video head for a lot less.
