Versatile, ideal for veg, fruit, skinned items
God what a joy to use. It's small but not too small, light but strong, sharp as hell, well balanced and comfortable for little hands. I'm a vegetarian and only use knives for fruits and vegetables; This is perfect for tomatoes, citrus, tortillas, etc. For large veggies, onions, and potatoes, I use the awesome Wüsthof 6-inch utility knife. I'm a pretty serious chef but have (stupidly) never invested in good knives until now. If you only have those two knives, you'll be using them 90% of the time.
