Overall: Great camera Pros: Unlike some other cameras, the instructions for this camera are really clear. Good picture quality Motion detection videos are marked with a red icon in the top left corner and red dots on the scroll bar, so you can easily see what happened. The admin functions are easy to use. You can view recordings without pulling out the card. Cons: Ear separation noise for Wi-Fi setup. When you set up Wi-Fi, the smartphone app plays a deafening tone. You need to bring the smartphone's speaker to the microphone (on the left side of the device when looking at it) until it starts the connection process. It reminds me of the old modem's connection tones, but 1000 times worse. This is the ONLY scam I have found so far and it does not affect the star rating in any way. Setup was very easy. Before beginning the installation process, make sure you have a QR barcode scanner installed on your phone. First, scan the QR code to get the SereneViewer app. From there, just follow the instructions and the camera will set up very quickly. However, you may want to have earplugs handy before beginning the Wi-Fi setup process as the sound hurts your ears. Once you have your camera set up, you can start configuring the admin settings like motion detection, recording, etc. In the user manual you will find a website where you can also access your camera and the same administrative functions. After doing some work and records, accessing these records couldn't be easier. All recordings where motion was detected are marked with a red icon in the upper left corner of the thumbnail. Then when you start the video, the scroll bar will have red markers where actual motion was detected. It's such a great piece of functionality. I've attached some images to this review to show the red icon and check marks on the scroll bar. I am very impressed with this camera.
