It works quite well for this price range. I mainly use it for live posting to an RTMP server, so my rating is based on that: PROS: - It works as expected, it's been working non-stop for 4 days and I've had no problems - It really detects all signals. : SD, HD, FHD, Interlaced, Progressive. I've never had problems with direct camera input, laptop input or video mixers like Blackmagic or Datavideo. You can use analog audio with HDMI video and analog video with HDMI audio (which is a big plus for me). It has a high bit rate. Support tested at 1080p30 at 15Mbps. - The HDMI output is not a loop, you can resize the signal and even deinterlace the signal (you can use this as a converter/scaler with some limitations) CONS: - You can't adjust the keyframe interval, you only get 1 Keyframes per second. - No option to switch between CBR and VBR. - The device reconnects to your RTMP endpoint when needed, but fails to acquire a new session after losing connection for a few seconds when using RTMP authentication. We had to disable RTMP authentication for the sake of simplicity. - I really couldn't get RTSP to work with my server. - It takes a few seconds to load or reconnect after a failed RTMP session. I think all these flaws are software. Issues that can be fixed with a firmware update if the seller is kind enough.
