I bought these lamps specifically for their musical function. When I installed the app, I wasn't immediately impressed. You have to play music through the app, so you have an extremely limited number of songs to choose from (I currently have over 200 songs on my phone and the app only allows me to choose from 46). Also, the indicators flash with every note in the song, and you don't have a sensitivity setting to lower them. If, like me, you're buying these for their musical function, I recommend the GOVEE gauges so I've seen firsthand how they respond to music, and use that to adjust the sensitivity as well). The brightness of these lights is just ok, I wasn't overly impressed as I've had much brighter LEDs. However, they were very easy to install and set up. The app offers different settings for the lighting, but I wasn't impressed, there aren't many options to choose from. Lots of colors which is fun but considering I bought it for the music function I'm giving it a 3 star rating. Get GOVEE instead.
