Good cable, initial problems

So I am leaving a review because I had many problems with the Powerline 3 cable after I received it in the mail for the first time. My phone connection was not good. At first I thought it was the cable because I have another 6ft anchor cable that still connects with no issues. I then used a toothpick to pry the lint out of my iPhone's lightning connector (and there was indeed a lot of lint in there). I don't really know if one should use a toothpick, but that's all I had next to me at the moment. In any case, the cable connected much more firmly and securely after I cleaned the lint from my iPhone connector. So the cable wasn't the issue, but I mention this because for some reason it's more sensitive to lint than my Apple iPhone cable and the Anker 6ft cable, and others may have had a similar issue. The second issue was that when I plugged the USB-C end of the Powerline 3 cable into the RavPower power bank that I also purchased, it didn't charge right away. I was still struggling with the first problem when I first connected everything, but the problem persisted. I eventually got it working, but unlike the Anker power bank, I had to connect everything together in a specific way or the power bank wouldn't turn on. This went on until I connected the cable to the anker power supply and pressed the power button, after that everything connected perfectly and I had no problems. It's rather a hassle to deal with the fact that I got 2 new toys and tried to get them to work together without having to deal with them individually first so I don't get it wrong again. All in all it's a really good cable now that it's working properly for me. I'm only giving it 4 stars because for some reason I found the cable to be a lot thinner and I really don't like the silicone sleeve of the cable due to the feel and the 3 notches none of which were tight enough. For this reason I prefer Velcro for cord storage. The silicone look also strikes me as very silicone-y (I know that's a silly complaint, but now that I have this cable I just prefer the regular cable jacket more). However, this is a premium cable and will last a lot longer than a regular one, so I'll probably accept and love this cable. I think I will try nylon cord next time and have a better experience.
