In recent years it has been very difficult to find shoes that I like, but when I looked at them, they immediately caught my eye. The black suede is thin with a white contrast stripe that really makes it stand out. I was expecting a heavier shoe but they are lightweight and well made from durable suede. I can confirm that it is indeed genuine suede so I took care of the Scotchgard as soon as they arrived so they would not be damaged by rainy weather. So far they have held up very well. The main thing I don't like about them is that the laces go all the way to the top of the shoe. This means that if you need to tie them at all, you have about half an inch. You should definitely expect to buy replacement laces.
