1/5 stars I really liked this lamp. I am currently building my medical school office and wanted to add an extra touch of sophistication and elegance to my desktop. This lamp has been on my list for months and I finally bought it a few days ago. 5/5 on assembly - when the lamp arrived assembly was pretty easy - instructions were on the box. Nuts and plastic arrived intact with each lamp segment. There are 3 wooden lamp segments. Each segment has 4 parts to hold each segment together: a large plastic to protect the wood, a small plastic to protect the wood from metal, a metal and a nut to screw in the nail. I didn't have to take care of the nail like I used to. already embedded in the tree. The instructions were very easy and I watched the assembly video beforehand. 0/5 Defective Product - During assembly, I noticed an odd extra hole in the center segment. I could still screw the lower segment to the middle normally, but that is the first sign of a faulty product. When I tried to screw the middle segment to the top segment, the lamp, the product really deserves 0/5. Each side of the middle segment opening that transitions into the upper segment is initially the correct size of the nail. However, the nail could not fully penetrate. I noticed that the center of the hole wasn't drilled properly for the nail to fit in. I tried to clear the path with a screwdriver but to no avail. An hour later I tried again but the nail came loose from the wood. Game over. gg I really loved this product as it reminded me of Pixar but it costs $36 down the drain. If you purchase this product, be aware that you may be one of the lucky few who can get a working product, but you also run the risk of being put in my position and being disappointed. Updated rating (7/12): 2/5 stars A Tomons representative contacted me and emailed me an apology for the rare manufacturing defect. We've come to a comfortable compromise, especially since Revain had a deal on a Tomons lamp yesterday (Prime Day). The lamp is in the process of being shipped. I am very satisfied with Tomons customer service. Once the lamp has arrived I will provide an updated review. Updated (7/18): I received a new Tomons lamp. The construction was a complete success! Haven't found the right bulbs for the lamp yet, but I bet they will work just fine. In general I am satisfied.
