Review on ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Butler Maps MP-127 Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Routes Map by Joe Stax

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice and well done but some minor changes could be made to the various information required

I'd sort of agree with John. The map is of excellent quality and contains a lot of useful information. I wish there was more of a list of "attractions" in each section. It's good to have a descriptive paragraph, but "make sure to look at it". not that helpful with more details. A note though. It would be almost impossible to follow this route with just a map. They say it somewhere, either on ridebdr.com or somewhere on this map, but they warn that you must have multi-track GPS capability to follow this route. Your average cheapest Garmin or TomTom can't do that. You can download these GPS tracks from their website above and they are presented in 9 sections as shown in this printed map. I uploaded them to the Scenic app. (Note: you get some free credits when you download this app, don't spend it all on cards as you also need credits to import tracks like MABDR). I think you can get a lifetime membership for around $50. I will do this to have access to all features of the app such as B. Unlimited Offline Maps and Unlimited Tracks. Most of this route is in late May.

Pros
  • A collection of various cross country routes created for big single state adventures on dirt public roads
Cons
  • Not sure
